Nine weeks flat after five months of steady loss, same dose, same routine, and I cannot tell whether to wait or change something.
What would genuinely help is knowing how to distinguish a genuine plateau from measurement noise and creeping intake, before changing anything.
I would rather have one careful answer than five confident ones.

Plateau breaking story with a stall: I stalled at 213 lbs for 8 weeks. Tried everything — calorie cycling, increased exercise, more water. Nothing worked.
What finally broke the plateau: adding HIIT cardio 2x/week. Lost 10 lbs in the next 3 weeks. Plateaus are temporary — they always break if you stay consistent.

No disagreement with KevinCompounds. One condition attached. Genuine plateaus happen too, and the mechanism is metabolic adaptation plus a smaller body. A body 20kg lighter needs meaningfully fewer calories at rest and less to move, so the deficit that produced the first phase is arithmetically smaller now. The options are the honest ones — increase the deficit slightly, increase activity, or accept the new plateau — and escalating the dose is only one of them.
Ask again with the specifics and you will get a better answer than this one.

Can confirm. Same sequence, different timescale.
From the other side of the consultation, briefly. The distinction that resolves most of these threads is between what is true on average and what is true for one person. Both are real; they answer different questions and get quoted as if they were the same one.
